The idea was to situate all the action on the outside of a space, on its cover, and keep the interior intact. The rooms would be empty, one might say at peace, but cold, as the enormous metal plates seem to be ready to crash down on the spectator at any time. The Film Noir images shows situations without escape can be found in everything that surrounds and terrifies us.
